THE
BANDS |

|
I have recently retired from the US Navy Band "Country Current" in Washington, DC. I was with the group for the past 21 years, as emcee, lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist playing country and bluegrass music. Recently, I formed my own band and I invite you to come see one of our shows. I feel sure you will be impressed with this band of talented musicians. | |
| The Brombies
The Brombies are a Los Angeles, California band that was formed by Jo Ellen & George Doering in the late 1980's. All of the musicians have played music of various kinds all of their lives, but traditional bluegrass is their music of choice. With Bill Bryson (Bluegrass Cardinals, Laurel Canyon Ramblers, Bluegrass, Etc. & Desert Rose Band) on bass & vocals, Patrick Sauber (Chris Stuart, Mighty Wind cast & band) on banjo & vocals, Jo Ellen on guitar & vocals and George on mandolin & vocals you have a magic combination for exciting, traditional bluegrass. The band places a lot of emphasis on their vocals & harmonies and presenting their original bluegrass songs along with the traditional music of "the Masters". They all feel that music can be a major contribution of positive energy in our world and it's gotta be fun or "forget about it!" |

| Lonesome Traveler
Lonesome Traveler indeed. This is an acoustic band from Colorado’s front range with a bluegrass driver’s license, a certificate of songwriting, and a sheriff’s badge of cool. They possess the cracklin’ firepower of a six-piece band, yet the grace of a dancer as they weave in and around their condenser microphones, singing, picking, and testifying to the gospel of Americana music. |

| The Burnett Family
This is family music at it's best with hard driving instrumentals and fine-tuned harmonies. The intricate breaks show a deep understanding about intimate musical detail that skyrocket them from good to outstanding in the field of Bluegrass. After winning the coveted 2004 Telluride Bluegrass Festival band competition, the family was hand-selected by the International Bluegrass Music Association (IBMA) for a command performance in Nashville, TN. They were showcased at the 2005 IBMA convention held at the end of October. Burnett Family Bluegrass has proven themselves to be one of the up-and-coming bands on the Bluegrass fast track.

| Just for Fun Just for Fun band is just that. They play music because they love it, and they enjoy playing it for the sheer pleasure and fun it brings them and their audiences. The band strives to present a wide variety of bluegrass music, and their repertoire includes many songs not usually performed by other bands. |
