THE BANDS

The Gibson Brothers

There will be more milestones and more grand stages for the Gibsons. They've proven their capacity to mature and evolve from album to album while developing the core of their artistry. They've made fans who buy a brand new album and ask at the merch booth when the next one's coming. It's the kind of career momentum only folks in bluegrass might understand. "It's not a rocket ride to the top," Eric says. "It's a slow and steady hot air balloon ride. That's what we're on, I hope."

Heidi Clare and At A Gallop, with Ron Thomason

"What you get here is MUSCLE, pure and simple, powerful and purposeful, seemingly limitless and untiring. Heidi Clare plays like she's defining 'bearing down'. This is athletic fiddling done by an athlete. To find fiddle chords and drone notes like these you'd have to listen to John Carson, Ray Cline, or G.B. Grayson. There comes a time in modern convention when even those with the strength, taste, and talent to muscle through a tune tend to lighten up for the sake of melody, clarity, or finesse. But Heidi just refuses. Once she's in her "groove" (her word) it would take an old-time southwest Ohio bluegrass bar fight to dislodge her. And those are as gone as the fiddlers who defined the standards that Heidi Clare emulates."

Sons and Brothers

Sons and Brothers is the most exciting acoustic band in Colorado. They enthrall an audience- to the extent that after a particularly powerful song, you may hear a collective gasp as listeners, stunned by the originality and emotion of the music, suddenly remember to breath.” Colorado’s own Sons and Brothers will be bringing “WestGrass” the concert and festival scene in 2006. “WestGrass” is the term the band uses to describe its presentation of acoustic music that combines elements of Western, Gospel, Bluegrass, and Old Time fiddle music. “We draw on the traditions of Bluegrass and Old Time and use these elements to describe and present experiences relevant to life in the West, and more specifically, here in the mountain west,” says Frank Wolking who plays guitar and sings in the group.

Sawmill Road

Original...Dynamic...Creative...Diverse...Captivating

These are easy words to throw around. Sometimes, however, they just plain fit. These are the things you hear when audiences, critics and other musicians are describing SAWMILL ROAD. It is an amazing collection of seasoned players who perform at a level that always brings a powerful mixture of bluegrass styles to any stage.

Fire Ridge

Fire Ridge is an award winning bluegrass band that plays a unique blend of traditional, contemporary and original music. Based in Prescott, Arizona, the group has been together since 2005 and plays various venues throughout the State. Fire Ridge continues to gain a solid reputation for a lively stage show and for performing top notch music. During their shows you'll find them working their tight vocal harmonies around a single microphone, captivating the crowd with their dynamic energy and dressed to impress.
